What carpentry services does Your Vision Roofing provide?

Your Vision Roofing's carpentry covers both the structural and the finish side: exterior fascia, soffit, and rotted-wood replacement, plus interior crown molding, wainscoting, and custom finish trim — across Northern Virginia and Maryland.

A lot of our carpentry starts as a roofing or siding job. Once the old material comes off, water damage that was hidden for years gets exposed — soft fascia behind the gutters, rot where a roof edge met the wall, soffit that's been venting moisture into the attic. Because our crews are already on site, we replace that wood as part of the project instead of sending you to find a separate carpenter, and we catch it before new siding or shingles seal it back in.

Many homes in Loudoun and Fairfax were built decades ago with trim profiles you can't buy off the shelf. We match the existing profile so repairs disappear into the original woodwork, and we'll talk through PVC versus wood trim for exterior work — PVC won't rot or need repainting in exposed, water-prone spots, while real wood is often the right call where it has to match adjacent millwork.

Rot & Water-Damage Repair

Fascia, soffit, and structural wood replaced before new roofing or siding seals the damage back in.

Trim-Profile Matching

Older Loudoun and Fairfax homes have trim you can't buy off the shelf; we match the existing profile so repairs disappear.

PVC or Wood, the Right Call

Rot-proof PVC for exposed exterior runs; real wood where it has to match adjacent millwork.

Bundled With Your Project

Frequently folded into a roof or siding job, so hidden damage is fixed in one trip under one contract.

Interior finish carpentry

Inside, the same crews install crown molding, wainscoting, chair rail, and custom trim — the finish details that make a remodel look built-in rather than added-on. Whether it's a single room or a whole floor, the work carries our workmanship warranty alongside the manufacturer warranty on the materials.

Frequently Asked Questions

What carpentry services does Your Vision Roofing provide?

We handle exterior trim replacement, fascia and soffit repair, rotted rake and eave boards, window and door casing, deck framing repair, and finish carpentry tied to roofing and siding projects. Most of our carpentry is repair work that comes out of hidden damage found during roof or siding replacement.

Do you repair rotted wood and fascia as part of a roof replacement?

Yes. Rotted decking, fascia, or rake boards are identified during tear-off and replaced before new underlayment and shingles go on. We price a reasonable allowance up front and invoice actual board-foot used at completion so you're not paying for guesswork.

Can you match existing trim profiles on older Northern Virginia homes?

Usually yes. For 1960s–1990s homes throughout Loudoun, Fairfax, Prince William, Arlington, and Montgomery County MD we can match most standard fascia, frieze, and bed-mould profiles with stock PVC or primed pine. Custom-milled matches are available for historic properties — we'll identify the profile on-site.

Do you use PVC or wood trim for exterior carpentry?

We default to cellular PVC (Azek or equivalent) for exterior trim that's exposed to weather because it won't rot, cup, or need repainting. Primed pine or LP SmartSide is available where you want a lower-cost option or a specific paint-grade finish.

Is your carpentry work warrantied?

Yes. Carpentry tied to a roofing or siding project is covered under our workmanship warranty for the same term as the primary project. Standalone carpentry repairs carry a one-year workmanship warranty on top of any manufacturer material warranty.

Got rotted wood, missing trim, or a punch list?

We'll come measure, photo-document scope, and quote in writing. Most projects schedule within two weeks. Real-person reply in under 5 minutes.
